Summary
Onfon Media Mozambique Limitada is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join the software development team and provide development and technology support to mission-critical systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish standards, templates, and guidelines as applied to software systems design using information gathered in the system definition stage;
- Define data structure layout and data flow model in order to provide specifications for software development;
- Select the physical communication media, network architecture and protocols in order to complete system design and support system development;
- Develop Human Machine Interface and/or Graphical User Interface in accordance with the design documents in order to meet the functional requirements;
- Develop database in accordance with the design documents in order to meet the functional requirements;
- Develop, test and commission software systems that meet functional requirements of users and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems or related technology field;
- At least 2 years’ experience as a programmer or software developer, troubleshooting user support issues, testing components to deliver quality applications;
- At least 2 years’ programing experience using JavaScript, and either Java, or Python;
- At least 2 years’ experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and knowledge of SQL;
- Experience developing Unix shell scripts;
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, JavaScript libraries/ frameworks (e.g. React), Node.js runtime environment;
- Experience working with agile software development methodology;
- Experience using GitHub for issue tracking and version control;
- Experience using continuous integration/ continuous deployment pipelines;
- The ideal candidate must be fluent in speaking and writing in English and Portuguese;
- Must be able to work and interact in English.
