ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following (other duties may be assigned):
1. Instrumentation is expected to provide team lcader to a team of electrical engineers, clectricians working on projects.
2. The responsibilities include managing the plant and Projects technically and managerially including resource planning.
3. Monitoring.
4. Scheduling.
5. Providing supervision.
6. Technical guidelines, and directions to team members on projects for successful completion of instrumentation engineering activities.
7. Responsibilities also includes running plant supervision, control & monitoring and troubleshooting of E & I related bottenecks.
8. Provide support for various proposals, work hours estimation and provide support to department manager for various activities such as training and development of the resources, quality assurance etc.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES:
To perfom in this position successfully, an individual shall be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Instrument & Electrical and Control System Engineering.
2. Vast work experience in Instrumentation Engineering and Design for Processing/beneficiation Plant, Petroleum and Refinery Units, Chemical/Petrochemical/Fertilizer plants etc.
3. Good Experience in handling projects like developing Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) Packages, executing Detailed Engineering services.
4. Experience as Team Leader – At least 4 projects, team size of 10+.
5. Work share project execution experience.
6. Knowledge of national/international electrical codes and standards.
7. Rich knowledge and experience in specifications, selection, design and engineering of DCS/ESD/PLC/SCADA system.
8. Fully conversant of InTools (SPI) various modules like index, specification, wiring and installation etc.
9. Good knowledge on application of computer aided design tools.
10. Hands on experience on Preparation of specifications for all instrumentation items like DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, Anti-Surge Control, Tank Gauging system, Machine Monitoring System, Machine Protection System, Process Analysers, Control Valves, ESD Valves with advance diagnostics, On Off valves, Safety Relief Valves, PRDS, Weighing System, Flowmeters, and various types of field instruments etc.
11. Good Knowledge on HAZOP/SIL Study including SIL calculation.
12. Hands on experience of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) of various systems like DCS/ESD/SCADAPLC etc.
13. Hands on experience on PLC software language, ladder logic.
14. Sizing of Various instrument items like flow element, control valve, safety relicf valve, density meter, Pneumatic valves etc.
15. Hands on experience in handling instrumentation of critical packages like compressors, blowers, fire heaters etc.
16. Detailed engineering to develop various instrumentation layouts.
17. Detailed engineering to develop various instrumentation documents like Logic Diagram, Control Narrative, Instrumented Protection Function Narratives, wiring connection details and loop diagrams.
18. Manpower Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control skills.
19. Ability to interact with other design groups in the office.
20. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
21. Compliance to budget, schedule, and quality within allocated resources.
